AlDub nation once again proved their over pouring support for Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza love team craze as they reached a whooping record of 39.5 million tweets, beating the 35.5 million tweet record for 2014 FIFA World Cup.
The fans of the perennial Twitter trending topic kalyeserye took to Twitter to express joy and kilig to finally see Alden Richards and Yaya Dub be together at last, with the blessing of Lola Nidora.
The momentous ‘Tamang Panahon’ episode of Eat Bulaga was held at the jumpacked Philippine Arena with almost 55,000 audience.
The over three-hour episode had no commercial breaks and featured performances from Eat Bulaga! hosts, a message exchange between the phenomenal love team, and song and dance numbers featuring the two.
Fans exploded in kilig when the AlDub came together on stage and sang their signature theme song “God Gave me you.”
Some dubbed the episode as the biggest entertainment ever for having a record of over 40 million tweets, 55,000 live audience and for three-hour episode with no commercial break.
Meanwhile, Alden and Maine expressed on twitter their amazement for the success of the event.
Early in October, Twitter Asia Pacific and Middle East Vice President Rishi Jaitly called AlDub a “global phenomenon,” after the hashtag #AlDubEBforLove pulled in 26 million tweets.
