Apple kicked off WWDC26 with a sweeping set of software announcements centered on a smarter, more capable Siri and a next-generation Apple Intelligence platform. The company introduced Siri AI, described as a profoundly more capable personal assistant that goes beyond voice commands.

Alongside it, Apple unveiled the next generation of Apple Intelligence, bringing more powerful AI tools directly into everyday iPhone, iPad and Mac experiences across writing, design and productivity tasks.

Apple also previewed new child safety features and announced expanded App Store capabilities to help developers grow their apps and reach new users.

In a notable regulatory move, Apple confirmed that Siri AI will be delayed in the European Union for iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 due to compliance requirements under the Digital Markets Act.
