MANILA, Philippines – Unaware of what life may bring after the havoc caused by the Super Typhoon Yolanda in 2013 and Typhoon Glenda last July, a blessing awaits as a new chapter of their lives begin.

Arllan Hibero (17), Ryan Norcio (18), Marjun Libanan (19), and Raymart Amigo (17), became scholars of pop singer Bruno Mars, in partnership with ALKFI-Bantay Bata 163’s Bantay Edukasyon. Recently, they passed the qualifying exam in Don Bosco Tondo TVET Center where they will undergo a 15 month training for vocational courses on automotive, electrical, and housekeeping.

The scholars came from impoverished families in Jipapad, Eastern Samar where their families try to make ends meet every day by farming.

The four boys are truly grateful for this opportunity to have a new start and they are looking forward to support their families soon.
