CEBU CITY, Philippines – Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) and its subsidiaries, Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corporation (CCLEC) and MPT Mobility, have commenced the construction of CCLEX Drive & Dine, a 5,580 square-meter, three-story food hub along the iconic Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX).

The groundbreaking ceremony, held on December 1, 2023, at the Motorists Assistance Area near the CCLEX Toll Plaza, marked the initiation of this development. The event was attended by prominent figures including Cordova Mayor Cesar E. Suan, Acting Cebu City Mayor Raymond Alvin N. Garcia, CCLEC and MPT Mobility President Allan G. Alfon, MPTC President and CEO Rogelio L. Singson, MPT Mobility Director Rodrigo E. Franco, and MPT Mobility Division Head for Motorway Commercial Facilities Renie U. Ticzon.

Similar to NLEX Drive & Dine along the North Luzon Expressway, CCLEX Drive & Dine aims to become a significant addition to Metro Cebu’s dining landscape. Positioned strategically between Cebu City and Cordova, it aspires to introduce diners to the diverse flavors of Cebu’s culinary scene through partnerships with various food service providers.

Notably, CCLEX Drive & Dine places emphasis on innovation and sustainable development, incorporating green spaces around its structure to complement CCLEX’s eco-friendly design while preserving stunning views of the Mactan Channel and Cordova Channel.

“The goal is to elevate the service facility beyond mere functionality, enriching and expanding the overall experience,” shares Renie U. Ticzon. “The positive response validates our vision to create something that enhances the current experience and introduces a new dimension to it.”

This dining destination aspires to redefine travelers’ expectations, infusing world-class design with Cebu’s essence. It aims to offer a variety of dining experiences, from quick bites to elaborate feasts, showcasing the region’s culinary richness and cultural identity.

Renie U. Ticzon emphasizes, “Cebu’s food culture is a significant part of its identity, and we aim to reflect that through the dining scene at CCLEX Drive & Dine.”

Scheduled for a mid-2024 opening, CCLEX Drive & Dine not only envisions itself as a rest stop but also promises an array of services aimed at enhancing comfort and convenience for travelers.
