Cyberpunk 2077 is leaving Xbox Game Pass this month, and it is not going alone. Microsoft has confirmed that 10 games are dropping out of the subscription catalog on September 15, with the CD Projekt Red blockbuster the biggest name on the departure list.
What is leaving on September 15
In its first wave announcement for September, Xbox detailed the 10 titles rotating out of the library. Beyond Cyberpunk 2077, the departure list includes well-regarded indies like Dead Cells, Frostpunk 2 and Deep Rock Galactic Survivor.
| Game | Platforms leaving |
|---|---|
| Cyberpunk 2077 | Cloud, Console |
| Commandos: Origins | Cloud, Console, PC |
| Cricket 24 | Cloud, Console, PC |
| Dead Cells | Cloud, Console, PC |
| Deep Rock Galactic Survivor | Cloud, Console, PC |
| Frostpunk 2 | PC |
| Mullet Madjack | Cloud, Console, PC |
| Spiritfarer | Cloud, Console, PC |
| Superliminal | Cloud, Console, PC |
| Train Sim World 5 | Cloud, Console, PC |
Grab them before they go
Subscribers who still want to finish Cyberpunk’s Night City run or any of the departing titles can buy them at a discount before they leave, with Xbox noting players can “save on these games now before they leave Game Pass” in its official wave announcement. Anyone mid-campaign should treat September 15 as the hard cutoff for the current catalog.
What is coming in instead
The same wave brings additions including RuneScape: Dragonwilds, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Speedrunners 2, with more titles slated for a second September drop. For Game Pass regulars on the hunt for something new, the rotation is a reminder to keep an eye on both sides of the catalog.
If you are chasing a bigger backlog, the service keeps stacking day-one hits, and it pairs well with the wave of free updates hitting consoles right now. Xbox also continues to bet on subscription exclusives, like the upcoming State of Decay 3, so the library is rarely short of reasons to stay subscribed.
