UP PRIME will once again host Dulaang Engineering 2019 entitled Lampara. This event will be held on March 6, 2019 at the Henry Lee Irwin Theater, Ateneo de Manila University.
Dulaang Engineering is an annual Engineering Week night event that aims to provide an avenue for students to showcase their skills in theatre production and be responsive towards current trends and social issues at the same time. The title and theme for this year’s Dulaang Engineering is Lampara, mga kuwento ni Lola basyang sa isang modernong perspektibo.
Accompanying this theme are 10 different organizations who will be competing to be called this year’s champion. They have each written their own original plays based on many of the ever-popular stories of Lola Basyang and then adding their own little mix of current issues and events. Their aim is to captivate the audience with their theatrics and heartfelt performances to get a message across and empower the audience with the harsh realities of our world today
