Making custom sportswear is about to get eight times more profitable for local print shops

MAKATI, Philippines (Jul 2026) — Printing custom jerseys and home decor is becoming a massive business for Pinoy entrepreneurs, especially as digital technology makes small orders easier to handle than ever before. A recent industry report suggests that digital dye-sublimation is helping print providers grow their revenue up to eight times faster than traditional screen printing, fueling a surge in the sportswear and footwear markets.

To meet this demand, a new industrial heavy-hitter has arrived in the local market. The Epson SureColor SC-F20030 is a 76-inch dye-sublimation printer built specifically for high-volume environments where speed and reliability are the only things that matter.

Double the power for faster turnarounds

The biggest upgrade in this new model is its eight-printhead architecture. By doubling the number of PrecisionCore MicroTFP printheads found in previous models, the machine can now hit production speeds of up to 306 square meters per hour. This allows local factories to take on much larger orders without sacrificing the sharp image quality required for detailed apparel designs.

To keep the machines running through long shifts, the system uses a bulk ink supply with 10-liter packs. It also features a hot-swap function: when one ink pack runs dry, the printer automatically switches to a backup pack so the job never stops.

Built for stability and easy fixes

One of the biggest headaches for print shop owners is downtime, but this new hardware aims to solve that through smarter maintenance. Operators can now handle specific repairs themselves, such as replacing the printhead or the anti-drying cap, rather than waiting for a service call.

The machine also includes a built-in drying system that heats both sides of the media to prevent smudging or wrinkling. For those running massive operations, there is an optional jumbo roll unit that can handle media loads of up to 300 kilograms, meaning fewer manual changes throughout the day.

Supporting the shift to digital

As the textile industry in Southeast Asia moves away from legacy processes, flexibility is becoming the key to staying competitive. Noelle Gonzalez, Head of Marketing at Epson Philippines, noted that the new printer is designed to help businesses manage tighter deadlines and more complex workflows while moving toward more sustainable printing practices.

The Epson SureColor SC-F20030 is now available through authorized dealers. For more details on pricing and local availability, you can visit the Epson website or check out their official Facebook page.
