PHLIPPINES – Goku Martin, FriezA Quino, and Majin Buu-y Abunda are just some of the hilarious creations of “don”, whose works were posted on his Facebook page “Guhitkwentokulay” Monday morning.
The drawings showed caricatures of Filipino celebrities re-imagined as Dragon Ball Z characters.
Among these are Coco Martin as “Goku Martin” (Goku), Kris Aquno as “FriezA Quino” (Frieza), Boy Abunda as Majin Buu-y Abunda (Majin Buu), Rene Requiestas (Cheeta-eh) as “Vegcheeta-eh” (Vegeta), Vilma Santos as “Bulma Santos” (Bulma), and Piolo Pascual as “Piccolo Pascual” (Piccolo).
Apparently, the idea began as an inside joke with officemates.
“nagumpisa lang sya sa opisina dati. tapos yun ganun na,” Don tells ASTIG.PH.
He goes on to say the first spoof was an April Boy-Rihanna spoof. We were unable to locate a copy of the said spoof.
