In the midst of the pandemic, different communities and institutions are getting back on their feet through innovative ways. Despite the quarantine, De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde makes sure that no student is left behind and that they could still fully experience interactive learning without sacrificing their safety and health.
With a new school year coming up, Benilde braves its way to step-up in welcoming the fresh high school graduates in the Benildean community. Since college is a new chapter with plenty of opportunities for freshmen, the institution aims to make their first journey as fun and memorable as possible through an innovative virtual INTERAKTIV 2020, the official freshman orientation of Benilde organized by the Student Trainers under the Department of Student Life – Student Involvement Office.
For the past years, INTERAKTIV focuses on interaction, involvement, and engagement through an Amazing Race that serves as a campus tour, games that promote interaction among blockmates, and a series of stage performances by the student-artists of the Office of Culture and Arts namely Saint Benilde Romancon Dance Company (SBRDC) – Hip Hop and Contemporary, Coro San Benildo, Karilyo, and Dulaang Filipino. The freshmen orientation has left an impression in the hearts and memories of the students.
This year, College strives to live up their motto of ‘doing ordinary things, extraordinarily well’ by bringing the freshmen orientation to its very INTERAKTIV 2020 website (interaktiv.benilde.edu.ph), which will be launched on September 1, 2020 and will run until the end of the first semester.
Themed “Chalkzone,” the website, which will be exclusive to the frosh and transferees, will feature a unique layout and a series of engaging activities that would actively orient the students about Benilde and its roster of schools and offices. It will likewise showcase amazing performances from the Benildean talents.
INTERAKTIV has been an essential part of Benildeans as it embarks them on their college journey and helps them meet new people who can eventually be a big part of their lives. This year’s edition will provide helpful tips that will help the freshman students adjust easily to this new chapter and explore and experience an entirely different zone filled with life changing experiences.
It will likewise prove how interacting is not only limited to meeting new people in person but also through screen to screen.
As the incoming batch of Benildean-Lasallians explores a New Zone of their lives, INTERAKTIV hopes to motivate them to continue in exploring new zones and ventures that will help them become better versions of themselves by doing ordinary things extraordinarily well.
