It’s Showtime finally revived itself from loss after rival show Eat Bulaga reign in the afternoon block since August 2015.
In the latest Kantar Media National TV Ratings released by Dreamscape on January 11, It’s Showtime defeated rival show Eat Bulaga with a .03% advantage. It’s Showtime got 15.5% versus Eat Bulaga’s 15.2%.
It’s Showtime offers various segments that will cater wide audience including Singing Mo To, Pinilakang Tabingi, GagamBattle, TrabaHula, Hashtags prod, Birthday of the Day and their newest offering which is Tawag ng Tanghalan.
Noontime show “It’s Showtime” starts the year with a bang as it launches the grand come back of the classic singing contest that gave rise to today’s OPM legends, “Tawag ng Tanghalan.”
Now respected artists in the music industry, Nora Aunor, Pepe Pimentel, and Bobot Mortiz started out as contenders in the said contest. With its return in 2016, “Tawag ng Tanghalan” once again calls for new talents from Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and Metro Manila to find the country’s next singing superstar.
Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla and Amy Perez-Castillo join the growing family of It’s Showtime that includes Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Billy Crawford, Karylle, Kim Atienza, Eruption, Jugs Jugueta, Teddy Corpuz, Ryan Bang and Coleen Garcia.
Meanwhile, Eat Bulaga still features Kalye serye featured by phenomenal duo of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza.
