Mapua University Interior Design Class of 2017, in partnership with Hospicio de San Jose presents JUMPSTART – Spaces for Little Explorers, a design exhibit to be held on January 4.
Witness a team of 15 students refurbish and renovate the orphanage center for toddlers by providing a space that would help develop their creativity and independence through playing and learning.
In the Philippines, there are an estimated 1.8 million children left abandoned by their parents which overwhelms orphanages as they struggle to provide even the basic food and shelter that will subsequently affect the mental, physical and emotional development of each child from a very early age.
These gradual changes could ultimately have a big impact to our society as a whole.
