The tech giant recently dropped its latest Environmental, Social, and Governance report for the fiscal year, and the big news is all about circular design. Ditching virgin plastics for good
This move is part of the company’s broader push to design devices that are easier to repair, reuse, and recycle. Since 2005, the brand has recovered more than 800 million pounds of end-of-life products and reused 300 million pounds of post-consumer recycled plastics. Even the brand’s smartphones are getting a green makeover. Packaging for newer mobile devices now contains 60 percent recycled materials and features a 50 percent reduction in single-use plastics compared to a few years ago, a change that includes the latest motorola razr packaging.

It is not just the hardware that is getting cleaner. More than 90 percent of the company’s global operations now run on electricity from renewable sources, keeping the tech giant on track to hit its goal of net-zero emissions by 2050. Climbing the global supply chain ranks
These sustainability efforts are paying off in more ways than one. The brand recently secured the fifth spot in the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 ranking, which was updated on July 1 to correct previously misreported environmental data.
