SUBIC BAY, Philippines (Apr. 2026) — Checking into a hotel today means more than getting a comfortable bed. Guests now expect smart in-room entertainment, polished event spaces, and technology that simply works, and that’s where LG Electronics Philippines is looking to make its mark.
The company recently gathered hotel executives and technology decision-makers in Subic Bay for a two-day hospitality event aimed at showcasing display solutions designed for modern hotels.
Held on April 23 and 24 at Lighthouse Hotel Subic, the event brought together 110 attendees, including CIOs, CFOs, hotel executives, and other industry leaders. It was organized in partnership with Wordtext Systems Inc. (WSI), the Subic Freeport Chamber of Commerce, and the Subic Hotel Association.
More than just TVs in hotel rooms
Instead of focusing on consumer electronics, LG highlighted business-focused technologies that can support different parts of hotel operations.
Among the products on display were Hospitality TVs designed specifically for guest rooms, LED walls for indoor and outdoor installations, and Interactive Digital Boards for meeting rooms and smaller events.
The company demonstrated how these display solutions can improve guest entertainment, strengthen hotel branding, and create more engaging spaces for conferences, business meetings, and special events.
Edgardo Kasunuran Jr., head of sales for Media Solutions ID & IT at LG Electronics Philippines, said technology continues to play a bigger role as hotels look for ways to improve both guest experiences and operational efficiency.
He said the event allowed LG to connect directly with hotel leaders in Subic while demonstrating solutions built for the hospitality industry’s changing needs.
Helping hotels modernize
The Interactive Digital Boards, including LG’s TR3DQ model, were presented as tools for collaborative meetings, presentations, and business functions hosted by hotels.
Meanwhile, LED wall solutions were showcased for larger venues and outdoor spaces where hotels may want more dynamic visual displays for guests or events.
By giving attendees hands-on demonstrations, LG also introduced potential applications for each solution across guest rooms, function halls, meeting spaces, and public areas.
Building stronger ties with the hospitality sector
The event also strengthened LG’s partnership with local organizations supporting tourism and business in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.
Jamie Austria, Product Category Head for LG Philippines at Wordtext Systems Inc., said the collaboration gave hotel decision-makers a closer look at how LG’s display technologies could help improve guest experiences, create more flexible event venues, and streamline hotel operations.
Donna May Tamayo, executive director of the Subic Freeport Chamber of Commerce, said the event gave local hospitality businesses an opportunity to explore technologies that could enhance hotel services and improve competitiveness in the tourism sector.
As hotels continue investing in digital upgrades, LG is positioning its commercial display portfolio as part of the industry’s ongoing modernization efforts.
