MAKATI CITY, Philippines – A portion of Makati Avenue corner Paseo de Roxas was sealed off Monday noon due to a suspected bomb threat, slowing traffic in the surrounding areas down to a halt.
Bomb squad members arrived at 12:00 noon. According to the report from ABS-CBN News, an attache case was found near Mini Stop Paseo de Roxas, however no bomb was found.
Witnesses initially reported that the bomb had already exploded inside the said Mini Stop branch.
The aluminum case marked Digital CCTV was later revealed to be a tool box apparently left behind by workers who were supposed to install CCTV cameras in the area.
