NBA stars Kenneth Faried of the Denver Nuggets and San Antonio Spurs’ Danny Green recently flew in town to be part of the annual #NBA3x competition to be held once more at the Mall of Asia Music Hall on an open court set up which started August 28 until the 30th.
The two NBA players will be on hand during the event, a 3-on-3 competition where players in the Under-13, Under-16, Under-18, and open categories for men and women see action.
Seeing 3 point shooter Danny made me feel I have also met and mingled with his famous team mates Tony Parker, Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili!
Also attending the meet are the Golden State Warriors Dance Team and Philadelphia 76ers mascot Franklin as they provide entertainment to the crowd during the entire activities.
Warriors cheerleaders Patrisha Festejo Yabes and Clarice Santiago Guido are proud Filipina-Americans members of the group who are thrilled to be back in their homeland and are excited to perform before their countrymen and NBA fans.
During the media availability held Thursday at the Diplomat Hall of Marriott Hotel, the uber energetic Franklin gamely entertained the press and even gifted yours truly with a personalized 76ers cap to my surprise and reminded me to give him a call, hahaha! Oh Franklin!
Aside from the other events, a celebrity division will also be played featuring Derek Ramsey, Marco Alcaraz, Rio Dela Cruz, Jinno Rufino and Mark Zambrano which has been an exciting attraction anticipated hy the crowd each year. Good luck to the winning team this year!
