MANILA, Philippines (Aug 2026) — New tech students are about to get a massive campus welcome as organizers prepare for the return of the biggest student integration drive of the year.

The PUP College of Computer and Information Sciences Student Council is mounting CCISalubong 2026: Rerouting Paths, Bridging Peers. Scheduled for Sept. 18, 2026, the annual gathering will take place at the Bulwagang Balagtas to usher in a new batch of incoming freshmen and welcome back returning upperclassmen.

Helping future tech leaders find their way

Starting university life in the technology field can be daunting, but this year’s welcome drive focuses heavily on building early connections. The event aims to ease the transition for new CCISkolars by creating a supportive environment where they can meet peers, find mentors, and get to know the unique campus culture.

Organizers plan to mix interactive community-building activities with student engagement programs designed to foster camaraderie across different year levels. The ultimate goal is to inspire the next generation of Pinoy technology professionals to pursue innovation and responsible leadership right from day one.

A call for campus collaboration

The student council is currently finalizing preparations and working with external partners to amplify the event experience for the wider university community. Attendees can look forward to a full day of networking, interactive setups, and community features aimed at making the transition into the new academic year as smooth as possible.

The event kicks off on Sept. 18, 2026, at the main university campus. Freshmen and returning computer science students can coordinate with their respective local student councils for registration details and entry protocols.
