realme 7i: 90Hz display, 64MP quad cameras, big battery for P11,990


PHILIPPINES –  After teasing it for a week, realme Philippines officially unveils the realme 7i , which carries a launch price of Php11,990 (8GB + 128GB). The newest addition to realme’s numbered series of Android smartphones is a more budget-friendly version of the realme 7 and realme 7 Pro, launched earlier at Php14,990 and Php17,990, respectively (8GB + 128GB).

With its launch, the realme 7i makes high refresh rate screens more accessible, bringing with it a 90Hz IPS LCD display panel with a hole-punch notch (in-display selfie), just like its higher-end counterparts.

Running on the Snapdragon 662 platform, the device offers affordable mid-range performance with a generous 8GB of memory, double that of its predecessor, the realme 6i. It comes with support for booth 2.4GHz and 5GHz 802.11b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi standards, making fast Wi-Fi speeds more accessible to the budget segment.

Aside from performance, photography and content creation take its share of upgrades, now with a 64MP quad rear camera system and a 16MP Sony IMX471 front-facing camera for better-looking selfies.

It features the Super Nightscape mode and new filters seen in the realme 7 series – Modern Gold, Flamingo, and Cyberpunk.

realme 7i also touts UIS Max, a software-based video stabilization system for smoother videos.

Like its predecessor, the realme 7i also touts a 5,000 mAh battery capable of 18W charging. Paired with relatively low power draw coming from its HD display and an efficient chipset, can give up to 13 hours of continuous gaming.

According to the official product page, the realme 7i has a standby time of up to 34 days, with call times going all the way to 35 hours.

The phone also touts a splash-resistant design as well as a rigorous quality assurance process that ensures its durability and sturdiness.

Price, availability in the Philippines

In the Philippines, the realme 7i will be available at a discounted price of Php10,990 when it goes on Early Bird Sale at 12 midnight on October 22 on Lazada and Shopee.

It will then become available on offline stores nationwide from October 24 onwards at the regular retail price of Php11,990. In-store purchases made from Oct 24 to 25 will come with a free realme Band worth Php1,390.
