Classes are suspended in parts of Luzon on Wednesday, September 2, as the Habagat and Tropical Depression Pilandok continue to bring heavy rain. Here is the updated list of areas and schools where classes are called off.
Which areas suspended classes
As of the latest announcement, suspensions cover Benguet, Bulacan, Pampanga and Pangasinan, with several towns shifting to online or alternative learning modes.
- Benguet: Atok (preschool to senior high, public and private); Itogon (all levels, public and private)
- Bulacan: Calumpit (all levels, public and private)
- Pampanga: San Simon (except Concepcion Integrated School), Apalit, Candaba (shifting to alternative delivery modes), Guagua, Masantol, Minalin (alternative delivery modes), Bacolor and San Fernando, all levels
- Pangasinan: Lingayen, Aguilar, Basista (daycare to senior high), Bautista (all levels, public schools), Bayambang and Binmaley
Why classes were called off
The suspensions come as the southwest monsoon and Tropical Depression Pilandok bring rain and flooding across the region. The list may grow as local governments issue their own advisories, so check with your school or city hall.
