“The ZenFone Max Pro M2 refines the features that ZenFans loved with the flagship ZenFone lines, particularly features that are found on the ZenFone 5 Series, and merged this with the renowned heritage of the ZenFone Max line,” shared Lenny Lin, ASUS Philippines Country Product Manager for Smartphones.

“The result is a combination of premium look, revolutionary AI cameras, a powerful processor, and a big battery capacity—definitely one of the best products we have offered at this price point to date,” he added.

It is powered by Snapdragon 660 SoC with Qualcomm AI Engine, and comes with up to 6GB of memory. The company claims that it is 11% faster than the previous generation, and, like its predecessor, it ships with stock Android 8.1 (Oreo) out of the box.

ASUS claims up to 33% improved 3D graphics performance via the Adreno 512 GPU, something that gaming enthusiasts can look forward to.

Like its predecessor, the M2 features dual cameras, the primary camera is equipped with a Sony IMX486 sensor, while the second camera functions purely as a depth sensor to take better software-generated depth of field (bokeh) shots.

True to the Max line, the M2 packs a 5000 mAh battery, giving it up to two days’ worth of mixed-use performance.

“We have started the year by introducing our flagship smartphone – the ZenFone 5 series, as a smartphone that gives end-users a capable device for mobile photography. Since then, we’ve introduced compelling follow-ups of mobile products for different segments that fit right into the end-users’ needs,” said ASUS Philippines Systems Group Country Manager George Su.

George adds, saying “As with the ROG Phone that we’ve recently launched locally, we bring the ZenFone Max Pro M2 with the premise of a well-rounded performer that improves on the great features that end users love to see in their smartphones.”
