HONOR leads MWC 2026 with robot phone innovation, Magic V6 foldable, clinching over 70 media awards

BARCELONA, Spain (Mar 2026) — ZTE is pushing the boundaries of the digital world at MWC Barcelona 2026 by unveiling a full stack of AI innovations designed to change how people live and work. Under the theme Creating an Intelligent Future, the global technology leader is showcasing how artificial intelligence is no longer just a tool but a core part of connectivity and computing. This move signals a major shift toward a world where smart devices and networks grow alongside their users.

The company is focusing on four main areas which include AI connectivity, cloud computing, smart home tech, and personal mobile devices. According to a press release obtained by our editors, ZTE is guided by a strategy called All in AI, AI for All. This approach aims to make high tech solutions accessible to everyone while ensuring they are secure and sustainable.

For mobile and optical networks, ZTE introduced AI native architecture that helps operators manage heavy data traffic more efficiently. This includes the HI-NET solution which uses built in AI to handle massive speeds of up to 1.6Tbps. These upgrades are designed to help businesses and telcos transition from traditional fiber to ultra intelligent networks that can sense and adapt to user needs.

The brand is also making waves in the smart home market where it currently leads global shipments for devices like Wi-Fi 7 terminals and internet set top boxes. Pinoy tech enthusiasts will be interested to see the next generation of home gear, including the first commercial Wi-Fi 8 CPE and AI powered smart displays. These devices use a dual brain system to manage entertainment, security, and smart home controls all at once.

Mobile gaming fans in the Philippines have something to look forward to as well. ZTE is evolving its REDMAGIC and nubia Neo series to move beyond just high performance. The new goal is to create an ecosystem that resonates with the lifestyle of the youth. By integrating AI deeply into hardware and software, these phones act as symbiotic partners that understand player habits.

ZTE also highlighted eight major technical breakthroughs during the event. One standout is the GigaMIMO 6G prototype, which features over 2,000 antenna elements and offers ten times the capacity of 5G-Advanced. Other highlights include the SuperPOD for AI data centers and the nubia M153 smartphone which features a seamless AI assistant for multitasking across different apps.

Beyond the hardware, the company is participating in global forums to discuss how tech can be a game changer for education and healthcare. With operations in over 160 countries, ZTE aims to use its global experience to build a computing ecosystem that benefits everyone. As the lines between the physical and digital worlds continue to blur, these innovations pave the way for a more connected and intelligent era.
