MANILA, Philippines (March 24, 2026) — Fans of the dark side have a new reason to celebrate. “Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord,” an animated series from Lucasfilm Animation, will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on April 6, 2026.

Set after the events of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” the series follows Maul as he builds a new criminal empire beyond the Empire’s reach. Along the way, he encounters a disillusioned young Jedi Padawan who could become the apprentice he needs to exact revenge.
Created by Dave Filoni and developed with Matt Michnovetz, the show features supervising director Brad Rau. Executive producers include Filoni, Athena Yvette Portillo, Michnovetz, Rau, Carrie Beck, and Josh Rimes. The voice cast stars Sam Witwer as Maul, Gideon Adlon as Devon Izara, and Oscar® nominee Wagner Moura as Brander Lawson. Other notable voices include Richard Ayoade, Dennis Haysbert, and Steve Blum.
Disney+ will release two episodes weekly, culminating in a finale on May 4, the iconic Star Wars holiday. The trailer and poster are now available for fans eager for a first look.
