MANILA, Philippines (Apr 2026) — Even at 1% battery, the POCO M8s 5G can still push through nearly an hour of calls. That’s the kind of staying power POCO is betting on as it brings its latest M-series phone to the Philippines this April.
The POCO M8s 5G is now available starting April 21, with an exclusive Early Bird window on Shopee running until April 30. The 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at PHP 11,999 (approx. $206), while the 8GB + 256GB variant goes for PHP 13,999 (approx. $241).
A battery built for all-day (and then some) use
The headline feature is a 7,000mAh battery that POCO says can last up to two days on a single charge under light use. At 1%, it can reportedly still handle up to 59 minutes of calls or 7.5 hours of standby. The battery is also rated to retain 80% or more of its capacity after 1,600 full charge cycles, which works out to well over four years of daily charging.
The phone supports 33W fast charging for quick top-ups and 18W reverse charging if you need to share power with another device. A Smart Charging Engine 2.0 is built in to help extend battery lifespan over time.
A sharper screen for longer watching sessions
The M8s 5G sports a 6.7-inch 1.5K display with triple TÜV Rheinland eye-care certifications, a nod to users who spend long hours watching videos or scrolling through content. Wet Touch Technology 2.0 keeps the screen responsive even with wet or oily fingers.
The phone comes in Black and White, with a quad-curved back and a metal-framed camera module for a cleaner, more premium look than its price might suggest.
Performance that handles the everyday
Under the hood is a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, with up to 16GB of RAM via memory extension on the top variant. Storage goes up to 256GB onboard, with support for microSD cards up to 2TB sold separately.
The phone runs on Xiaomi HyperOS and supports Google Gemini and Circle to Search, which lets users pull up information by drawing a circle around anything on their screen.
On the camera side, a 50MP AI dual-camera setup handles the main shooting duties, with AI Erase and AI Sky tools for quick photo cleanup and sky replacement.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 200% volume boost mode through the speaker, and IP64 dust and water resistance.

The POCO M8s 5G goes on sale first via Shopee from April 21 to 30 at Early Bird pricing. After the exclusive window closes, it will also be available on Lazada and other platforms.
