realme has a new battery monster, and it just landed in India today: the realme 16x 5G packs a 7,000mAh cell, a 144Hz display, and a six-year battery promise in a phone that starts well under PHP 20,000 on direct conversion. Here is everything Pinoy buyers need to know.
A 7,000mAh battery with a six-year promise
The headline feature is the 7,000mAh battery with 45W Superfast charging, which realme backs with a six-year long-battery promise and a 60-month fluency guarantee. The phone also supports 6.5W reverse wired charging, so it can top up earbuds or another device in a pinch, and bypass charging keeps temperatures down during heavy use.
Despite the big cell, the phone stays slim at 8.8mm and 217 grams, with a 5,300mm squared vapor chamber handling thermals under load.
144Hz display and military-grade durability
The 6.8-inch IPS LCD screen runs at 144Hz with up to 180Hz touch sampling and 1,200 nits peak brightness, protected by Panda glass. Build quality leans on an ArmorShell chassis with IP65 dust and water resistance and MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification, a rare combo at this price tier.
Dimensity 6300 and realme UI 7.0
Under the hood is the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chipset on a 6nm process, paired with up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM (expandable via dynamic RAM) and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, plus microSD expansion up to 2TB. The 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP selfie shooter sit alongside Android 16 with realme UI 7.0, including Gemini Live and AI Eraser.
India pricing and the PH outlook
The realme 16x 5G starts at INR 25,999 (about PHP 16,700 direct conversion) for the 4GB+128GB variant, with 6GB+128GB at INR 27,999 and 6GB+256GB at INR 30,999. Launch offers cut those to as low as INR 23,999 (about PHP 15,400). Sales open on Flipkart, realme.com, and mainline stores from tomorrow.
There is no PH pricing or date yet, but realme has been quick to bring its number series here: the realme 16 Series 5G landed in the Philippines earlier this year, and the first-selling offers followed within days. For reference, the realme 16 5G launched locally at PHP 22,499, so a 16x at the entry-to-mid 5G tier could reasonably slot below that if and when it arrives. Watch this space.
