Woody, Buzz and the rest of the gang are finally coming home to streaming. Toy Story 5, the year’s highest-grossing movie, lands on Disney+ on Sept 23, and Taylor Swift is bringing a new music video along with it.
When Toy Story 5 streams on Disney+
The Pixar sequel, which hit theaters June 19, will debut on Disney+ a little over three months later on Sept 23. The announcement follows a theatrical run that smashed franchise records, opening to $159 million domestically and eventually crossing $1.1 billion worldwide.
Taylor Swift’s ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’ gets a video
To mark the streaming premiere, Disney released a music video for the piano version of Swift’s original song “I Knew It, I Knew You,” which is now available on Disney+, Spotify and Apple Music. The record-breaking track was one of the biggest movie tie-ins of the year, a “return to folklore-era roots” for the pop star.
Why Toy Story 5 is a record-breaker
Toy Story 5 became the third 2026 release to cross the $1 billion mark, joining “Michael” and “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.” The fifth film, which pits the toys against the hold of screen time on kids, reunited Tom Hanks as Woody and Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, with Joan Cusack back as Jessie. Andrew Stanton directs from a script he co-wrote with Kenna Harris.
