Transitioning to the new normal has never been easy, but the UP Broadcasting Association sees every challenge as opportunities. Join the Assers as they celebrate their 52nd anniversary online, for the first time ever, still with a cause!
UP Broad Ass Week is a celebration of UP Broadcasting Association’s 52 years of passion, excellence, and glory. For the past years they have put together passionate individuals and developed some of the most respected names in the broadcasting industry like Ogie Alcasid, Jason Paul Laxamana, Nina Corpuz, Rod Marmol, and many others.
For this year’s week-long celebration, relevant video productions will be released online with the theme, “The Role of Media in The New Normal”.
Coinciding with the celebration of pride month, expect a fun and quirky two-part video series exploring the representation of the LGBTQ+ Community in media. Discover the reason why representation matters in media as well as the different problematic tropes in the Boy Love genre.
Capping off the series with a photo album, expect a list of films and series to watch this pride month!
Another part of Broad Ass Week is the release of their Anniversary Tribute Video. Join them as they celebrate what has become of the organization for the past 52 years. Finishing the week with a bang is their internal but publicized culminating event, Wrapped.
Starting off on June 4, join them as they express their passion and advocacy in broadcast communication media and highlight its important role now, more than ever, as the country progresses into the new normal.
Catch these relevant video productions on all of UP Broad Ass social media platforms, @UPBroadAss on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and the Brain Fart Facebook page.
