Autumn Tunes: An Online Fundraising Show for Jeepney Drivers [event]

Get ready to party with HallyUP this October as the organization turns N I N E and tune in with HallyOPM: Autumn Tunes this coming October 31, 2020!

In its ninth year, the University of the Philippines Society of Students for Korean Pop Culture, also known as HallyUP celebrates this year’s installment of its annual anniversary month celebration with HallyUP Month 2020: Retro 9roove. The organization is bringing HallyOPM: Autumn Tunes to you as they showcase the performances of select artists throughout this online gig.

Combining Hallyu (Korean Wave) and OPM (Original Pinoy Music), this year’s eighth installment of HallyOPM celebrates the universality of music through the fusion of two cultures themed to bring us relaxing home-y vibes as we continue to stay indoors due to the quarantine. With the theme of Autumn Tunes, get ready to jam with the music and performances from local artists such as Pinkmen, Kamara, Jea Song, Stef and Euge, Joshua Kim, Precious Abigail, Meryl Abella, Paoli Martin, Sam Villareal, and some of our very own HallyUP members. Stay tuned as the event will be streamed on HallyUP’s facebook page on October 31, 2020 at 7:30 PM.

This event is mainly a fundraiser to help the Balara-Katipunan Jeepney Operators and Drivers Association who had been severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic ever since the lockdown in March. Until now, the association members are still struggling financially since most of their passengers are students and employees who have now transitioned to online classes and/or work-from-home setup.
