BGC fights noise pollution with 12-hour ‘quiet zone’

Bonifacio Global City is home to 20,000 households. It is in this light that BGC puts the welfare of its residents as its topmost priority. Given constant and reasonable complaints about noise pollution coming from two or four-wheeled vehicles, BGC has decided to put certain solutions into action.

In a recent Facebook post, BGC declared that it will be implementing a Quiet Zone from 8PM to 8AM every day as a gentle reminder to all vehicle owners, two or four-wheeled, to practice respect at all times.

Marshals will be deployed within the estate to remind vehicles about the said protocols. Signages were also deployed around BGC to remind residents, employees and visitors alike about this policy.

To show BGC’s dedication to this matter, they are also closely coordinating with the city of Taguig and Barangay Fort Bonifacio who are currently working on an ordinance to regulate the unnecessary noise BGCitizens are dealing with on a regular basis.

As seen in the post’s comments, the BGC community shows their utmost support and appreciation to the action being taken to solve this matter.
