Davao Region private-sector workers will see their daily minimum wage go up again this Tuesday, Sept. 1, as the second tranche of Wage Order No. RB XI-24 takes effect.
The new daily rates
Based on the announcement from the Department of Labor and Employment, the daily minimum wage in the Davao Region rises to:

The increase was approved by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-11 and is being delivered in two tranches. The first tranche took effect on March 13, and this second one lands on Sept. 1.
DOLE reminds employers to comply
DOLE-XI Regional Director and RTWPB-XI chairperson Atty. Dax B. Villaruel urged employers to implement the mandated adjustments, describing compliance as a concrete expression of respect for workers’ rights and a boost to productivity and industrial peace.
DOLE-XI clarified that Barangay Micro Business Enterprises with valid Certificates of Authority from the Department of Trade and Industry are not covered by the wage order, under Republic Act No. 9178.
Wider wage picture
The Davao increase comes as wage boards across the country move, from the DOLE holiday-pay rules for National Heroes Day to debates over larger wage hikes and cost-of-living relief. The changes add to the ongoing conversation about income and tax relief for Filipino workers.
The wage order is expected to benefit over 130,000 minimum wage earners across the Davao Region.
