Samsung has started rolling out a big One UI 9 beta feature update to the Galaxy S26 series, carrying over some of the best Galaxy AI tools that first appeared on the Z foldables.
What’s new in the update
The update, which began reaching enrolled users on Aug 28, adds My FanCam, a richer Now Brief, and a smarter Now Nudge to the S26 lineup. A deeper look from Android Authority also turned up Call Brief, Custom Cards, and new home screen search widgets in the latest build, which outlets like GSMArena and SamMobile call the seventh One UI 9 beta.

My FanCam: reframe after you shoot
My FanCam uses AI to keep a selected person in focus and automatically crop, zoom, and re-center your video into different aspect ratios for social platforms. You can trigger it from the Samsung Gallery app’s Galaxy AI icon while playing a video.
A smarter Now Brief and Call Brief
Now Brief gathers useful information and recommendations into customizable cards tailored to your routine, while also flagging security and privacy risks. Call Brief, meanwhile, surfaces calendar events, reminders and emails right on screen while you’re mid-call.
When S26 owners get it
The update is rolling out to users already in the Galaxy S26 One UI 9 beta program starting Aug 28. The same tools first landed on the Galaxy Z8 foldables and the Galaxy S26 FE, which is now on sale in the Philippines. Expect the stable release to arrive before next year’s Galaxy S27 series.
