Sony just turned one of gaming’s most-anticipated launches into a piece of hardware you can hold. At Thursday’s State of Play, the company revealed not one but two limited-edition Grand Theft Auto VI DualSense controllers, and pre-orders open next week.
Two Vice City-inspired editions
Both designs pull straight from the neon-soaked look of Vice City, the fictional Miami-style setting where GTA 6 takes place. Each controller carries a shimmering, color-shifting finish that blends the hues of a Vice City sunset with the glow of its streetlights, plus palm-tree details molded right into the shell and official GTA VI branding on the touchpad.
| Edition | Vibe | Where to buy |
|---|---|---|
| GTA VI Black Limited Edition | Vice City nightlife | Exclusive via PlayStation Direct where available, select retailers in other regions |
| GTA VI White Limited Edition | Vice City at daybreak | Globally at PlayStation Direct and participating retailers |
Price and when you can pre-order
Both editions carry a recommended retail price of US$84.99 (about EUR 84.99 or GBP 74.99, with Japan pricing at JPY 12,480 including tax). Pre-orders open September 10 at 10 a.m. local time through PlayStation Direct, with an expanded retail rollout expected after launch. There is no official Philippines price or local release date announced yet.
Controllers built for the game itself
This is more than a paint job. GTA 6 leans hard on the DualSense’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, giving dynamic resistance and sensations tied to the actions of protagonists Jason and Lucia. If you are already planning a long playthrough, the extra muscle of a fresh controller might be worth the investment.
Both limited-edition controllers launch on November 19, 2026, the same day GTA 6 arrives on PS5 and Xbox Series X. Given how deep the game’s open world runs, a collector’s-grade pad that matches its world is an easy sell for fans.
