Jim Curtis has been the steady, quiet presence at Jennifer Aniston’s side for a year and a half, but he has rarely talked publicly about their romance. That changed on the Aug. 31 episode of The Jamie Kern Lima Show, where the 50-year-old hypnotherapist opened up about being welcomed into Aniston’s inner circle, and revealed the relationship is still very much in its honeymoon phase.
He finally opened up about the romance
Appearing on the podcast, Curtis told host Jamie Kern Lima he feels “incredibly blessed” to be part of the tight-knit group of friends around the 57-year-old actress, a circle he described as a “group of best friends that are like family.” He called Aniston’s community “such a beautiful community and group of people” and said of her, “I feel blessed to be in a relationship with someone that is so open-hearted and kind and loving.” Asked how the relationship is going overall, he answered that things are “going really well.”
Still in the honeymoon phase after a year and a half
Curtis, who has been dating Aniston since last year, also revealed how the couple works through disagreements. “We do a lot of meditation, we do a lot of talk,” he said, adding that “meditation, acceptance, understanding” take the place of heavier confrontation in their current stage. “In a honeymoon phase, your tools don’t have to be big sledgehammers.”
Us Weekly notes the 1.5-year romance is still very much in its honeymoon phase, with Curtis saying the pair’s connection keeps growing.
