Mother’s Day Feels in “Mama’s Girl” Movie

According to Regal Films’ Ms. Roselle Monteverde-Teo they chose Mama’s Girl as their opening film for 2018 because it’s all about new beginnings. Like the New Year, it’s also about new hope.

The film stars today’s promising actors in the likes of Sofia Andres, Karen Reyes, Heaven Peralejo, and Diego Loyzaga who were present during the blogcon together with the Mom of the Hour Sylvia Sanchez, screenwriter Gina Marissa Tagasa and director Connie Macatuno held at 38 Valencia Events Place.

Clad in her sexy hot pink dress, I call Ms. Sylvia as the Mom of the Hour for her sought after roles as loving mother in most of her teleseryes and films. She is also a very effective kontravida from time to time and we love her to bits!

She is a doting mother first and foremost to her children including actors Arjo and Ria Atayde.

"Lahat naman ginagawa ko para sa mga anak ko, witness dyan si Diego (Loyzaga) na laging nasa bahay ko yan kasama naming mag lunch. Gagawin ko lahat para sa iyo, pero parang si Mama Mina dito laging nandun ang respeto at tiwala sa isa't isa. Yung very groovy at positive na Nanay. Ganun din ako sa totoong buhay,"  confides Ms Sylvia.

Sofia Andres and Diego Loyzaga pair as a love team on the big screen and both are excited together again here.

When asked how close is Sofia to her Mom? An emotional Sofia shared,
"Yes close ako sa kanya as in super close since birth!"

Too bad we missed Jameson Blake and Yana Asistio during the blogcon. Their roles are also something to look forward to in the film.

According to award winning writer Ms Gina, this movie is very close to her heart because it is an experiential film for her. She herself is a mother to a millennial child and she depicted how kids of today as go getter's of their passion and too digital reliant. She is proud of the fact that way back the encyclopedia was the manual Google.

Mama's Girl opens in cinemas nationwide on January 17, 2018.
Directed by Connie Macatuno under Regal Films and Entertainment.

"I consider this movie as my best movie to date," shares Ms Sylvia. "Kung sa TV, may "Greatest Love" |where she starred as a mother diagnosed with Alzheimer's], itong Mama's Girl ang counterpart sa film."
