Four thousand two hundred four new medical technologists can update their résumés today. The PRC released the August 2026 Medical Technologists Licensure Examination results, and an Ilongga tops the list.

The topnotcher

Marty Angela Janagap Policarpio of the University of San Agustin earned the highest rating at 92.90 percent, leading the 4,204 examinees who passed the exams given in 16 testing centers nationwide, from NCR to Zamboanga. San Agustin has a habit of producing board topnotchers, a point of pride for the Iloilo campus.

Top performing schools

De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute took the top spot among schools, per the PRC’s official school rankings: 98.59 percent, with 140 of 142 examinees passing. The University of Pangasinan followed at 98.00, with Our Lady of Fatima University-Antipolo and the University of Santo Tomas tied at 97.56, and Silliman University fifth at 96.97. One examinee’s result was withheld pending resolution of exam-rule liabilities.

How hard is the MTLE, really

This cycle’s 4,204 passers continue the exam’s recent upswing: the August 2025 run produced 3,360 passers out of 4,720 (71.19 percent), and March 2026 hit 84.13 percent. Compare that to August 2022’s brutal 47.63 percent, and the current cohort has reason to celebrate. The exam runs across two days covering clinical chemistry, hematology, blood banking, microbiology, serology, parasitology, and lab quality management.

What passers should do next

Successful examinees register for the face-to-face mass oath-taking through the PRC’s online services portal before noon the day before the ceremony. It is the same licensure pipeline we tracked when all 50 UP Diliman geology examinees passed their PRC boards, and health-sciences schools keep expanding to feed it, like FEU’s dedicated Institute of Health Sciences. Professional identification cards and the Certificate of Registration follow the standard PRC issuance process. For the full passer list by surname, the PRC’s complete results remain the authoritative source, and GMA News carries the official announcement in full.

To the 4,204: welcome to the lab. The country’s hospitals, blood banks, and diagnostic centers have been waiting for you.
