MANILA, Philippines (May 2025) — Most phones start showing their age within two years. OPPO is betting the A6s 5G can hold up for five — and it’s pricing it well within reach of the students and young professionals it’s targeting.
The OPPO A6s 5G launches in the Philippines at PHP 22,999 (approx. $395) for the 6GB + 128GB variant and PHP 25,999 (approx. $447) for the 8GB + 256GB model. The non-5G OPPO A6 starts lower at PHP 17,999 (approx. $309) for 4GB + 256GB and PHP 20,999 (approx. $361) for 8GB + 256GB.
Five years of smooth, or bust
The headline feature is what OPPO calls 60-Month Fluency Protection, a system-level optimization designed to keep the phone running smoothly for up to five years of daily use. The pitch is simple: stop replacing your phone every two years because it slows down. Whether switching between apps, editing documents, or running demanding programs, performance is meant to stay consistent over time.
Supporting that promise is Google Gemini integration for daily task assistance and AI LinkBoost 3.0, which stabilizes connectivity in crowded or low-signal areas — useful for commuters and anyone working out of coffee shops or co-working spaces.
Battery built for long days
The A6s 5G runs on a 7,000mAh battery, one of the larger cells in its price range, and OPPO says it’s designed to maintain capacity even after years of repeated charging. For a phone aimed at users grinding through long school days and back-to-back work shifts, that spec matters.
The device also carries an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, making it tougher than most mid-rangers at this price point.
AI tools baked in
An AI Camera handles quick content capture with minimal post-processing, while the SuperCool VC System manages heat during extended gaming sessions or long video calls. These aren’t just day-one perks — OPPO frames them as part of what keeps the phone performing well over time.
The A6s 5G comes in Ice White and Cappuccino Brown. The standard A6 is available in Sakura Pink, Sapphire Blue, and Aurora Gold.
