OPPO Partners Up With TV5 to Bring Philippines’ Next Top Model: High Street

Oppo, one of the leading cellphone brands in the country today, recently partnered with Kapatid Network TV5, as a major sponsor of the Philippines’ Next Top Model (PNTM): High Street.

The model search’s Philippine franchise debuted  with its 1st season way back 2007. This 2017, Philippines’ Next Top Model (PNTM) is making a fiercer comeback, with former Binibining Pilipinas-World Maggie Wilson heading the panel of judges who will choose the winner among 24 contestants.  She will be joined by other judges, including celebrity stylist Rain Dagala and Professional Models Association of the Philippines President Raf Kiefe. Ms.International 2017 Kylie Verzosa is also joining them as Judge/Model mentor.

In a gala event held last February 18 in Chaos City of Dreams, OPPO and TV5 did the ceremonial contract signing and toast to seal the partnership. A sneak peak on the preparations for the upcoming season was also presented. A mini-fashion show followed, featuring this season’s contestants. The ladies strutted their stuff, finishing off their walk by taking their fiercest selfie using their OPPO phone.

OPPO was also the official partner of America’s Next Top Model (ANTM) Cycle 22, which aired in 2015, where the contestants were given selfie challenges involving the camera features of the OPPO R7 and R7 Plus: Beautify, Double Exposure, and Panorama. The phone model for the upcoming Philippines’ Next Top Model (PNTM)  cycle is yet to be revealed.

“America’s Next Top model was a worldwide sensation that several countries had their own edition of the internationally renowned television contest. We are proud to be part of this show’s new Philippine edition,” said OPPO Philippines Brand Marketing Manager Stephen Cheng. “Like the brand’s collaboration with the team behind America’s Next Top Model, we hope to be just as successful here in the country.”

“This is also an opportunity for us to show the other side of the OPPO brand which puts prime on fashion and lifestyle,” he added.

America’s Next Top Model premiered in May 2003. Tyra Banks, the show’s creator and executive producer, served as the head judge for 22 cycles. The model search aired semiannually until 2012, and then annually in 2013, the year British singer and actress Rita Ora replaced Banks as the head judge.
