It’s official: the Philippines will be getting the Vivo V11 on September 11. The mid-range smartphone was earlier launched in India as the “Vivo V11 Pro” bearing mid-range specs: 4×2.2 + 4×1.8 GHz Octa-core Snapdragon 660 SoC, Adreno 512 GPU and 6 Gigabytes of RAM.
So far, there will only be one model, and it will have 128 GB of storage space, double the current industry trend of 64 GB for mid-range phones.
However, the most interesting aspect of the phone may be the 6.4-inch screen, which not only uses an AMOLED panel, but also bears a minimal “halo notch” reminiscent of the Essential PH-1 and OPPO F9.
It is also the first mid-range phone to bear an under-display fingerprint scanner, a technology that was first introduced in the Vivo X21.
Vivo is also investing in an additional chip to essentially double charging times, a technology they call Dual Engine Fast Charging.
Vivo V11 price and availability in the Philippines
The Vivo V11 was priced at Rs25990 at launch in India, which converts directly to around 19,495 PHP at the time of writing.
The official price in the Philippines will be announced on September 11, however, we predict to be somewhere between 18,000 PHP and 20,000 PHP.
Our friend Abe over at Yugatech reported spotting one at the mall for 19,990 PHP, but we cannot confirm this for sure this since Vivo Philippines themselves have placed everyone on embargo until the official reveal on September 11.
