HONOR finally put a price on its Robot Phone: the phone with a literal motorized gimbal camera debuts in China at CNY 9,999, about PHP 90,300 at current rates. Pre-sales open tonight, and the 200MP titanium gimbal flagship starts shipping on August 18.
Two variants, both flagship-priced
The Robot Phone launches at CNY 9,999 (about PHP 90,300) for the 12GB + 512GB model, while the 16GB + 1TB version goes for CNY 12,999 (about PHP 117,400). That puts it firmly in ultra-premium territory, matching the price positioning of the flagship foldables it is chasing.
It arrives in two finishes, Star Trail Silver and Moon Shadow Gray. First-sale buyers get a one-year gimbal worry-free replacement service, and the 16GB + 1TB tier adds a one-year 2TB cloud space benefit, per HONOR China’s official launch banner.
A 4DoF titanium gimbal in your pocket
The headline feature is the 4DoF titanium alloy gimbal carrying a 200MP f/1.6 23mm main camera. HONOR says the mechanism is built from aerospace-grade titanium, shrunk 65% versus standalone gimbals, and packs more than 100 precision parts with a motor that weighs just 2.6 grams yet spins at up to 360 degrees per second. Over 100 patents back the design.
The camera hardware was developed in collaboration with ARRI, and the phone’s AI assistant YOYO Pro was co-developed with Alibaba. A four-microphone array uses an AI pointing algorithm so audio pickup follows the camera’s gaze, HONOR says.
Compact screen, flagship silicon
Inside, the Robot Phone runs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. The 6.31-inch flat LTPO display resolves at 2640 x 1216 and peaks at a staggering 6,800 nits with an AR reflective film. All that hardware makes it a heavy one at 248 grams, though it stays a slim 9.59mm thick.
What it means for the Philippines
There is still no PH pricing or date. The Robot Phone’s global launch was already teased for the Philippines, and HONOR’s MWC 2026 showcase put the gimbal concept on the map. At roughly PHP 90,000 to PHP 117,000 by direct conversion, expect a premium local price if it lands here, with HONOR’s PH arm likely announcing local SRPs separately.
