The Rotary Club of Los Baños Makiling is an organization composed of women with different professions, united to strive for honor and excellence in engaging with local communities through humanitarian service for 17 years now. We firmly believe in promoting peace with diversity, integrity, leadership, service, and fellowship.
This year, the club is organizing the WOOF WALK, a bonding exercise for dog owners and their pets. The event will be held on March 11, 2017 (Saturday) from 5:00am to 9:00am at the UPLB Freedom Park, Los Baños, Laguna. A 3-km walkathon will be hosted to celebrate the harmonious relationships of canines and humans. Special awards will be given. Number bibs and goodie bags will also be distributed.
WOOF WALK promotes the proper care and animal welfare each pet deserve to receive. The event also aims to encourage the community to have a healthy lifestyle by living well through regular exercise and thus exhibit efficient work for all professions. Proceeds of this event will go to The Rotary Foundation celebrating its 100th Anniversary which supports End Polio Campaigns and Community Projects that focus on Education, Water & Sanitation, Disaster Prevention, Peace & Conflict Resolution, Maternal & Child Care, and Economic Livelihood. This event is open to all interested dog owners where approximately 200 participants are expected to join.
