MUNTINLUPA CITY, Philippines (Aug. 2026) — A breastfeeding mother led an all-mom podium sweep in the grueling 21K division of the EastWest Dream Run 2026 Manila leg, which drew thousands of fitness enthusiasts.

Marickz Camacho proved that motherhood and elite athletic excellence go hand in hand, capturing the women’s 21K title at the Filinvest Event Grounds. She was followed closely by fellow inspiring mothers Jocelyn Elijeran and Nikka Panlaqui, proving that raising a family is no barrier to chasing big fitness goals.

More than just a serious race

The event brought together nearly 7,000 runners, families, and even fur-babies for a massive celebration of health and wellness. Aside from the inspiring mothers dominating the women’s division, Kenyan marathoner Evans Bomer clinched the top spot in the men’s 21K division, while Southeast Asian Games medalist Arlan Arbois secured second place.

Pinoys packed the venue to tackle various distance categories, including the 10K, 3K, and a crowd-favorite 1K Dog Run. The enthusiasm was clear from the start, as tickets for both the 21K and 5K race categories completely sold out before race day.

Participants who crossed the finish line enjoyed a lively festival atmosphere packed with sponsor activities, games, and post-race massages. Lucky attendees also walked away with a share of over PHP 500,000 (approx. $8,620) worth of raffle prizes, which included staycations, theme park passes, fitness equipment, and shopping vouchers.

The nationwide tour continues

Organized by RUNRIO, this Manila kickoff marks the beginning of a larger nationwide tour. The series is set to visit more cities across the country to inspire more Pinoys to embrace active lifestyles.

The tour next heads to Clark on Aug. 30, followed by a stop in Iloilo on Sept. 20. The final leg will take place in Cagayan de Oro on Oct. 18, which will feature a special appearance by brand ambassador Donny Pangilinan.

Pinoys looking to join the upcoming legs can register through the official EastWest Dream Run Website.
