COLOGNE, Germany (Aug 2026) – Gaming fans are getting a double dose of major news as two brand-new titles, multi-mythology co-op action game Nodusfall and cozy space simulator Petit Planet from publisher HoYoverse, made their world premiere during gamescom Opening Night Live.
The unexpected announcements mark a fresh direction for the studio behind hits like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. Instead of sticking strictly to traditional anime-style RPGs, the development team is expanding into mythic multiplayer action combat and cozy social simulation.
Teaming up to slay mythic beasts in Nodusfall
The first reveal, Nodusfall, brings players into a vivid fantasy world inspired by diverse global mythologies. Players step into the role of Weavers, joining forces with allies to confront massive mythic beings and legendary creatures.
Unlike fast-paced solo button-mashers, each boss encounter in Nodusfall calls for sharp tactics, quick reactions, and close co-op coordination between teammates. Combined with realistic visuals and rich lore, it aims to deliver intense multiplayer sessions for Pinoy gamers who love challenging boss raids.
Building a cozy galactic home in Petit Planet
If high-stress boss fights are not your speed, Petit Planet offers a relaxing alternative set in outer space. Players take on the role of Planet Tenders, shaping their own cosmic worlds, befriending fuzzy Neighbors, and venturing into the Starsea to explore distant Islets.
The game also features a Galactic Bazaar where players from all over the globe can hang out, trade, and build unique social connections. Pre-registration opened immediately following the event, with a global launch scheduled for this winter across PC, iOS, and Android platforms.

Both titles received debut trailers during gamescom Opening Night Live, giving fans a first look at gameplay mechanics and world design. While Petit Planet is locked in for a global launch this winter, HoYoverse has not yet announced a release date or official pricing for Nodusfall.
