We unbox and go hands-on with the realme C3, the newest entry-level Android smartphone from realme.
It comes in a the familiar-looking realme yellow box, minimal design free of distractions. Label clearly shows we have a C3 in our hands.
It also shows the main features of the phone such as AI triple camera, 6.5 inch HD screen with the “mini drop” notch, a 5000 mAh battery, and Helio G70 processor.
Our phone comes with 3 gigs of memory 32 Gigs of storage. It supports dual SIM with dedicated nano SIM slots.
The phone looks really good, it’s the same fingerprint- and scratch-resistant chassis that we had with the realme 5i. realme calls it the Sunrise Design.
We have the triple camera module up top, main camera with f/1.8 aperture is marked with a yellow circle. Below that we have two lenses for portrait and macro, flanked by dual LED flash.
We get a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner in the middle.
To the left we have our volume rocker and SIM tray, while the power button sits on the other side. To the bottom we have the 3.5mm audio port, micro USB port for power delivery and wired data transfer, and bottom firing speakers
Out of the box, the phone runs on Android 10 with realme UI version 1. The package includes a nice, thick cable with the yellow realme branding and a 10-watt power adapter.
Our stock camera comes with several options like Expert mode and Ultra Macro. We also get Portrait Mode and other standard options. Check out the photos below.
The phone is very smooth, we were able to score up to 180k in AnTuTu which is very good for an entry-level device in 2020.
To test its gaming capabilities, we installed Marvel Super War and set it to maximum graphics settings with high frame rate mode enabled. The game runs pretty smooth at around 58 FPS, although loading takes a bit of time.
